Determination rocks the evening at Hockey Night In Burtt's Corner

Lucas Brown and Christian Haines exchange words, as they proved to be the determination factor of the game last Tuesday.

Reminders
Everyone make sure when you come on Tuesday night, that you bring with you a pair of non-marking shoes. This Tuesday coming, there will be a shoe check at the door. If you fail to meet requirements, I am afraid we will have to get you to watch for the evening.

Pepsi 3 Stars of the Game

3rd star of the game from Team Awesome was Troy Riddicker, who posted his highest scoring game on the night. 27 Goals, 25 Assists, 52 Points on the season.

2nd star of the game was a record breaker on this evening as he shattered the record for most games played by a person in Hockey Night In Burtt's Corner history. He would pass the ball at many aspects playing the playmaker... which led Adam Hanson to his 100th point. He was also the Determining factor in his teams going to a shootout in game 1 of the night. Christian Haines of the determinators is our second star of the night as he brings his total on the season to: 35 goals, 35 assists, 70 points.

1st star of the game played under the skin of the determinators all night long and because of this, he was able to pop in a couple goals. This night was a season high night for Mr. Lucas Brown as he brang his totals up grately on the evening to help his team to victory in both games. Lucas now has 13 goals, 25 assists, 38 points on the season.

At that, Hockey Night will be a go for next week and within the next couple of weeks sometime, we are hoping to have another guest speaker. That means be there and get there on time, because the next guest speaker is a big one.

Whats the worst thing that could happen on a Tuesday?

Hockey Cancelled for Tuesday July 24th

Why is it cancelled? Why?
Hey Guys, I know that each and every week, many of you look forward to when Tuesday finally rolls around simply because you know that in the evening on Tuesdays, we meet for Hockey Night In Burtt's Corner. Hockey Night has served to be something special to each and every one of us, thats why its so disappointing when its gotta be cancelled. Unfortunately, this week Dan and Darrell will both be travelling to Deer Island to lead a camp and because many of you are going as well, it would not be worth it for Hockey Night to happen. Our apologies to those who would have been able to play on this evening, but it would not have been good for the things we have planned later for Hockey Night, if we were to hold Hockey in the absence of so many people.

Physicality and Missing people
Guys when we meet on Tuesdays, just something to address for our next meeting is the tension level and physicality. Very important that everyone remember to keep their sticks down while playing, because someone may be seriously injured and we do not want that. I am under the impression that many people who would regularly attend who have been missing in the last couple weeks, have sat out the evening, because they have been to sore, or afraid of being hurt, playing with the competitive nature of those who attend Hockey Night. For the safety of others and for the success of Hockey Night, I ask that we all remember for the next Hockey Night to think of those around you and seek friendship with oneanother, not war.

Marking shoes
Just a quick reminder. On our last meeting many of us stayed late afterward to clean up marks from someone using marking shoes. I am sorry, but in our next meeting we will be doing another shoe check. If you do not already have non-marking soles, I suggest getting some during the week off. Those without non-marking soles, I must apologize, but by the regulations of the gymnasium, we are not allowed to wear just any shoe, because it will destroy the playing floor. Please address this guys, I appreciate it.

Nothing but the best at Hockey Night In Burtt's Corner

Jacob Ebbett warming up in pre-game for an anticipated intense game this week, between Team Awesome and Team Face.
FRANCHISE PLAYERS
The message tonight was about us being Franchise Players, looking to build to God's kingdom based on 1 Corinthians 3:1-9. As God's Franchise players let us this week be challenged to build on the foundation Jesus Christ has set, being His Franchise players motivating our fellow workers, to add and build a way for the future of His team.

Time to Step It Up!
Hockey Night will happen as scheduled on Tuesday, July 10th/2007 and will not be cancelled this week as we may have anticipated. Adam Hanson has graciously offered his time to run the program for this week, but we will not meet this week, until 6:30pm.
Try to be there no earlier than 6:30pm so that Adam has time to set up. Also just a reminder to everyone to try and help Adam in every way possible to clean up when the evening is finished. Hockey Night In Burtt's Corner is a fun thing, but a big responsibility to those who run it each week and thats why it is important that you help out. I do not want to mention what the consequence of not cleaning up is, but if we all chip in as the team we are at Hockey Night, than we can accomplish great things. Because you are all Awesome People and I pray that God Blesses each and everyone.

Pepsi Three Stars of The Game

The 3rd star of the game from Team Face who recorded most of his points in Game 1 and is making his first star appearence was Darrell Haines. Darrell Haines with the statistics he recorded tonight brings his totals to 6(7) Goals, 3(18) Assists, for 9(25) Points on the season.

Second Star of the game from Team Face with much help from Mr.Adam Hanson on the scoreboard, was a force all night. He played a lot of time in the Penalty box, but got a lot of points on the floor. Christian Haines was deserving of a Star tonight as he recorded 4(22) Goals, 6(19) Assists, for 10(41) Points on the night and his aggressive play landed him in the penalty box for 10(24) minutes.

Then we have our 1st star of the game, who was on the winning Team both times and played again, a huge part in the games flow. We could call him a playmaker or call him a shot faker, because somehow he always seems to contribute to the ball being in the net. Congradulations to tonights star of the game, Jacob Ebbett who has in the last couple weeks edged up big in the standings. Jacob tonight for the first time without Christian recorded 6(10) goals, 6(26) Assists, 12(50) Points.
